NASCAR has penalized the No. 60 team of Carl Edwards and driver Brad Keselowski for rules violations committed in Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Gateway International Raceway.
Edwards intentionally wrecked Keselowski while heading for the checkered flag on the straightaway coming off the final turn.

Edwards was docked 60 driver points, fined $25,000 and put on NASCAR probation for the remainder of the year. Keselowski was placed on probation through the end of the year. Jack Roush, owner of Edwards' No. 60 Ford, was also docked 60 series championship points.
Robin Pemberton, vice president of competition for NASCAR, said the Edwards-Keselowski fued started at the beginning of the season.
"We felt like we were put in a position where we had to make a call," Pemberton said of the fine and probation.
"We felt it was an overreaction [by Edwards] and put himself and Brad, and basically most of the field, in harm's way and kind of screwed up the show."
Trouble began as the two drivers were battling for the lead on the final lap.
Keselowski nudged Edwards out of the way to take the lead and Edwards returned the favor in the final straightaway, sending Keselowski into the outside wall and starting a chain reaction that collected 10 cars in all while Edwards raced to his second victory of the season.
"The incident at the end of Saturday night's race at Gateway was unfortunate not just for Penske Racing and the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge team, but for all of the teams that were caught up in the aftermath," Keselowski said in a statement Wednesday.
