Bell announces iPhone 3GS pricing

Effective today, the iPhone is available on the Bell Mobility network, ending Rogers Wireless’ almost three year monopoly on Apple’s popular smartphone in Canada.

The iPhone 3GS will operate on the company’s new HSPA network launched today and will support full international roaming in more than 200 countries around the globe.

Bell will be offering three versions: the Apple 8GB 3G iPhone, along with the 16GB and 32GB 3GS version in black or white. Pricing for the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models will be $600, $700 and $800 respectively with a $500 discount for consumers signing up for a three year plan.

The company also announced four combo plans for the iPhone beginning at $45 per month.

The $45 plan includes 150 voice minutes, free evenings and weekends starting at 9 p.m., unlimited calling and text to five local numbers and 500 MB of data usage.

The $55 plan up voice minutes to 300 and data usage to 1GB. The $65 plan includes 400 voice minutes, 2GB of data usage and adds visual voicemail and call conferencing. The $90 plan provides 500 voice minutes, 3GB of data visual voicemail, call conferencing, and adds unlimited picture and video messages
