Something is really off..
Don't know how you can ignore the constant aural warnings. "TOO LOW, GEAR, TOO LOW, GEAR" voice alert from the Ground Proximity Warning System, which would have been glaring. And would be very surprised if someone from the tower did not warn them that gear was not down. Apparently the flaps were not even extended either from what I heard. Forget one, you say he was distracted and stupid. But neither flaps, not landing gear extended ? Hmm....
