I've seen what an F5 tornado can do, it came through the rail yard, picked up an old steam powered locomotive (a big one and other stuff) and dumped it a few miles away in a swamp, it had to be cut up for scrap as there was no way to get it out.

It also twisted the three flag poles at the VA hospital into the worlds biggest cork screw.

This was back in the 50's so the only warning we had was where did the chickens and birds go?
