But this is a Samsung boombox not a Bluetooth speaker. About 10 ft away, strait line of site and it has a Bluetooth button.

Come on, every boombox has volume controls. You know what? I turned up the volume on the TV to 75 and that's about the same as regular tv sound on 10. Thanks for the odd question.

but you expect your tv to increase sound on box when you have it set to lower than 40%?
all my sound devices are set to 90% and I never have to touch them again except to power on/off

that all changes when you paired it to tv
if I just use my sound device with a device wired to it then volume works as expected
not so much when you use bt
set your box to 25 but turn tv down first...lol

I'll try it, busy watching oilers now. On my Bluetooth headphones, l don't have to adjust the volume at all. Have to turn volume way up on TV no matter what I do.
