There's been a change in the RTV channel lineup on AMC 9 at 83w- a rescan will now give you TUFF tv and Rtv.

Is there another SAT I can get those channels, I see that 83 is out of footprint here in PR.

I've never seen them elsewhere fta Turbo, even with my bud the signal quality is very low for that tp.

Every time I scan this orbital position I always scan the c band side as well. I've never had an open channel on c band here but my pansat has picked up tp once in a while.

What size unit do you have? (she said)
What other channels do you get at about the same strength (on any sat) just for comparison purposes.

I'm wondering if I can catch it with my 33".

Most indications i've seen is that you need a 39" dish to get that one. If you are getting it with a 30", I'm going to try it at the lake (NW Ont) next weekend with my 33" before I shell out any more cash for another dish.

Ever since they turned up the power on this one I can get it on an old star choice 30inch dish. Don’t know if this just good luck. Remember that I am in the Vancouver area. Yes defiantly worth a try with your 33inch dish. Who knows till you try
Good luck..

I tried to rescan as indicated, but no luck.. I am located in Montreal, Qc and I am getting 3 channels on that sat, but it doesn't look like it's the same channels the OP mentioned though. Here's what I'm getting: AMC-9/3-F (NBC News), RTNWEST and RTNEAST

Transponder for the 2 RTN channels: 11735 H 4444 3/4

I'm not 100% sure if the TuffTV and RTV channels are supposed to be on this TP also, but according to lyngsat they are. Weird how I'd be getting two other channels instead, huh... and I don't even see those ones listed on lyngsat. :O

By the way, I have 25% quality on both RTNs after fine tuning with the motor (via receiver menu) and the image is good. I'm using a 33" FTA dish with an Invacom 0.3db LNB and a USALS motor... and a Viewsat Ultra to power the whole thing and give me precious free TV!

When was the last time you scanned that tp, changed over a week ago. Rescan that tp and Tuff and Rtv will come in. I'm in Cornwall so your dish size is adequate from Montreal.

Scanned yesterday VERY late at night,,, and my bad, these are indeed TuffTV and RTV that I get - they only appear as something different on my Viewsat for some reason (couldn't tell yesterday, as they weren't broadcasting @ that time and therefore all I had was a channel name).

Anyway, all is good and those two channels (RTV and TuffTV) do come in clear in eastern Canada.

I started at 139 C last time I factory reset mine & made it to 83 Ku! That way you & I have the whole sky covered!! :tehe:

Definitely all covered, we should do an arc thread from 11-139w- 128 degrees, that would be awesome using our buds because my bud only gets to 107.3.

I would like to get my motor on before I did one. I can get to 55.5 Intelsat 805. I'd like to see where a 24" & 36" would get. According to Sat beams I should get NSS 7 at 22...I just can't see it, since Hipsat 30 is pointing barley off my horizon

Costactc

There are about 20 channels at NSS7 on the c side and 1 US Army feed on the ku. 2 channels at 24.5w and about 10 channels at 27.5w including hd.

I'm getting tuff tv fine, and retro east too, but just getting squeaks and no video on retro west, still.

I tried a different channel list, and the signal is fine (same xponder as east).

If nobody else has the problem I fear I will have to factory default (omg, rescanning 15 satellites!).

Damn CW700s receiver maybe the problem?
:(
And is Tuff tv on the same transponder as RTV?

I don't see why not. You could start the thread and we could confer until we get to Gold sat position- team effort.
