having server issues

Well seem to have a issue here. All I'm getting is freezing for 3 to 10 secs plays for 3 to 8 minutes and its a rinse and repeat. Does any 1 have any ideas why?

Reboot your box and router first and see if that solves the issue.
Your details were vague, is it happening on all channels or the channels that you were just watching .
There are issues from time to time on a single channel which happens on all services .

Seems to be doing it on all channels and i did the reboot of box and modem

It must be on your end. There is no other member mentioning freezing on all channels.
Check your download speed, turn off vpn, clear cache on ur box and see if any of those solves your issue

Have been watching for the last hour an a half over a few channels and overall most channels are perfectly stable.

Only things I encountered are:
CA: CTV SCI FI has jerky video.
And many CTV channels are out of sync (ex: CA: CTV Montreal HD, Calgary (video jerky also), and Ottawa. But CTV Toronto is not so bad (just a few milliseconds but it is watchable) :) Hard to tell now ,since the current program (how it is made) has no synced dialogue (but was obvious during previous program which was more of a news program).

And CA: Global Montreal is in a strange state (was streaming fine earlier this morning - it was streaming Global News Montreal however). Seems like when you change to it, you get the first key frame, and then it freezes. Change and come back and you get another key frame, and it freezes :) Tried both players on my buzz box and same issue. However just before lasts week's outage, the stream was swapped from the Global News Montreal, to the proper Global Montreal stream. No rush, but when you get a chance, if the Global Montreal stream is still available, it would be great to get it back (instead of Global News).

So far the rest of my "favorites" on my buzz boxes seem to be good.

As a matter of fact, YES, ISP can target certain channels. Don't forget that most of our ISP are owned by our media giants and they have deep pockets. There is one service (which many of us know well since it has been around for ages), which was targeted bad during the world cup. During the world cup they were targeting ALL channels (ie: the whole service). But now, during NHL games, somehow it is NOT all channels, it is just some large Canadian channels only. I have a few customers still using that service and during hockey games (typically from 7pm to 10pm), they have a good number of Canadian channels that are black. Everything else is perfect. I finally convinced many of them to get a VPN service, and guess what. When the Canadian channels go black, they enable VPN, and miraculously they all come back fine. And it is not ALL my customers, it is just a few with selected ISP only.

So as much as you may think it is impossible, I hate to break your bubble, but it is VERY possible. ISPs can choose to throttle, or even block certain streams and destinations.

but they use at least one of the major providers to give you internet
if you don't think it's your isp do a factory reset

If you are wireless, can you try just as a test to connect with an ethernet cable ?

dont forget to mention it a wireless isp similar setup to xplornet

typically over subbed and ****ty during peek times and sometimes all the time

it sounds like app got corrupted and is trying to connect more than once at same time
unless you're over sharing your account I would reset

You do realize, if you are in Canada, regardless of who you think your isp is and not being affected, that they are using either bell or rogers trunks. End of Story.
Hence why it was very easy for fifa to have their games blacked out (never mind it was legally allowed as well), and (now) set a precedent for other organizations. Which they have taken full advantage of and certainly will continue.
So, basically, your comment is null and void (at least this one)
If you don't understand how throttling works, I suggest you look into it. They can throttle absolutely anything they wish. And yes, that includes very specific channels if they wish not to mention your bandwidth as well. But generally they will just blackout the network hosting, and with some, almost the whole service.

After I reinstalled the vpn it doesnt seem to freeze i did the whole system reset and forgot to reinstall the VPN then i did n like i said so far so good
