Hi y'all...lol.
The Noof just ordered his still for makin' a little sippin' neutral grain spirits. For years I've wanted to try distilling, & now that I'm retired I have all the time in the world.Got a very good still coming, & an amazing wood shed to brew in.If any of you experienced shiners have a recipe for corn/sweet feed mash & are willing to share it, that would be great.I won't run untill summer gets here.I like the straight-up corn liquor the best...the kind that ages in my glass.lol.

Excellent!I ordered this one this morning:

I also ordered a couple of sweet feed mash kits from Mills to get started.

P.S...95 is fine sippin' whiskey proof!I drink straight up, so any hotter than 90 to 95 is too hot for me.It looses its flavour & burns the throat.I keep my shine in the freezer for shots.
Ya , what your seeing up there is 95% alcohol ,, I cut it down with distilled water to where I need it

Sorry....I thought it was proof, not precent.45% is dandy.I have a spring near by that I will use for my mash as well as tempering. You can drink the water coming out of the ground.

Bring your own white cane & sunglasses...lol.
I am unfamiliar with Vevor stills ,, plus I don't very much care for the burner pots
Also, Im kind of worried that pot will not last the 7 or 8 hours of cooking time
If you want, I can suggest a still , that is "stupid proof" ,, it's also a plug in 15amps 120V
And it will be a pleasure to work with ...

I have alternate heat sources bro.My shed has 220v service, & I have a 3500 watt hot plate.I think I will use it rather than my propane burner stand to minimize the chance of scorching the mash.
