BuzzTV XPL 3000 problem with the remote

i have a BuzzTV XPL 3000 the problem i been having is with the remote control is that i press it and only work one or 2 cecunds and thend stop responding but affter 1 or 2 minutes work for only 2 secunds
and is not the remote because i have another box
i install new battery on the remote control and no go

I know it sounds brutal, but have you tried to do a factory reset on the box ?
Maybe some app was installed which is hogging the CPU in the background ?

does red light at top flash when you press a button?
if not then time for new remote
also make sure both ir sensors are clean
