For the benefit of others.

Confirmed, fix works like a charm. For a second I thought I bricked it, since 2 to 3 minutes can feel long when there is no sign of life from the box. Be patient, after it was done, I am now at V20220811 / 5.0.759

I used an 8GB microSD card which I had lying around.

Unfortunately it is a factory reset once the update is installed. But using the relatively new option to enter servers via a web browser, makes seconds out of a previously tedious task.

Issues and glitches can happen even with the best of boxes. But a company shows it's true colors in these times, by the way it decides to support and address them.

Only 2 minor things to note: After the install, "force max volume" is set to ON again (so don't try to watch TV with the kids sleeping, before turning this off first). Also, the backlight on my remote was not synced. App said backlight was off, but the remote backlight was actually on. I quick toggle of the backlight in the app, synced it.

as soon process started I went to drink water and came back, it was up. takes less than 5 minutes. working fine so far :)

I had to try twice, first try i waited 30 min and nothing happened so tried again and it worked. The only thing i have noticed is that neither suspend function seems to work or at least the light stays blue

I have mine set to shut down but when I turn tv off it goes to suspend

guide says no bigger than 16 and dev said 32?

I took mine out of one of my security cameras
it wouldn't give me fat32 as an option to format on laptop
put it in my x5 and just showed it was safely ejected
put it in my 4900 and formatted as removable
problem solved right?
hell no cause while I was doing that my laptop did an update and rebooted
had to re download the file cause it never completed but I had exceeded the d/l limit so I had to wait until next morning....lol
