is located 32 miles off the east coast of North Carolina.....


The former lighthouse, Frying Pan Tower, is now an eight-bedroom (plus crew sleeping quarters) bed and breakfast in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It's surrounded by sharks, but the real threat comes from hurricanes. The owner claims the structure withstood major hurricanes, but the interior needed some "refreshing" after each one.

its not painted like any other light house, and there appears to be some sort of piping that is bent out, maybe used to refuel the generators, do not see any kind of boat that would allow exploring the area, i wondered if that was one of the places that they took every one off when things got windy?
