I've been having issues with my 10' setup on the c band side and decided to replace my Chaparral c band lnb with the cheapo DMX bsc211 to see what the results would be:

My new lnb may not have been very expensive, so far I have checked 2 circular sats 22w ans 18w and noticed, after a bit of skewing, an increase of 10-15% signal quality.

Sounds liek you made a good choice then. Goes to show more expensive doesnt always technically mean better.
what where you usin before?

I was using a Chaparral 20K #11-7100-1 and on my previous 10' setup as well. Not only have I noticed increased signal quality, no duplicate tp and more stability. The only other test is to try out 55.5 and 58w.

The lnb didn't pass the test at 55.5 and 58. You'd figure an expensive setup would outperform an lnbf. I was advised to go top of the line so I picked up a Norstar 8115 lnb. Testing it right now on 55.5 with much better results and increased signal quality. I think it's a keeper.

Not sure risk, may have something to do with the corotor. It also has a tendency to scan in tp with very high signal quality but on the wrong polarity. For example, RTPI at 55.5w scans in at 82% but on H not V. According to Lyngsat it's supposed to be Vertical.
How about you risk, what quality and polarity do you pick it up at?
4080 V-H 4340
im gettin that TP on both H and V with 85% quality and they work.
i entered them manually, i will blind scan and see who pops up.

Inexpensive does not neccesarily mean bad quality...LOL The opposite is true also..

82% here only on Horizontal with my skew at 90, vertical does not come in at all.

Not at all bud. For an lnb that cost about $15 it did the job but just not as well as my new one.
