For context, the eagles had been utilizing the nest for some time prior to the owls arrival. However, a mated pair of great horned owls (named Bonnie and Clyde by the original YouTube channel) had a thing or two to say about that. Great horned owls have a habit of usurping the nests of other birds, such as crows, hawks, herons and even eagles, sometimes fighting off or even killing the original occupants (tho this only applies to the non-eagle birds listed). Eventually the eagles gave up and the owls reared two chicks of their own that year.
