I received a bulliten from IPGUYS about NON_MAG boxes and sticks deactivating. Here's the bulliten:
All NON-MAG devices users must populate "DEVICE ID" and "DEVICE ID2" fields on their devices to protect their accounts. By doing so you are making sure that your BOX(Emulator: FireStick, Android Device, Nvidia Shield, any Box not made by Infomir) will not get deactivated.

Good to know.
I think that is a good thing. They are actively trying to protect accounts from Brutu force attacks.
Think of Device_ID and Device_ID2 like username/password :) So now, a hacker doesn't need to just guess your MAC, but also needs to know your DEVICE_ID and DEVICE_ID2. Making it more difficult for brute force attacks.

Yes so its basically so you cant MAC share on emulators.
Currently Emulators use Device ID only
Device ID2 is hidden

Actually STBEmu allows you to customize DEVICEID2. So It might be possible (depending on how server is configured) to enter DeviceID2 before you connect the first time, and it may just use the custom one you provide.
DeviceID is not editable, but you can either force it to use a MAC based DeviceID (which makes more sense to me) or it can randomly generate one, using a deviceID random seed.
What do Buzz boxes do ? Do they automatically transmit a DeviceID / DeviceID2 ?
It's obviously to avoid random brute force attacks. There are piles of lists floating around daily of random MACs that tested and worked, on various servers. It's gotten to the point, you can even request a server and they will provide a list of active MACs :(
This multifactor authentication will make it more difficult, and it is similar to using "tokens" (which can be server issued), which is another option.

DeviceID and DeviceID2 can be enabled directly in apps like STBEmu, from the same screen that you can modify or check your MAC. It is just 2 line items below the MAC :)
For other boxes (where these are not alterable options), I can't comment what their internal firmware does.

Guess so... I don't have IPGuys, so I can't confirm, but that is how to get the emulator to send the DeviceID.

So they are enabling something on their server, and they didn't run some tests to see if the most widely used STB emulator would work and how ? Hmm... interesting.

I put in a request to IPGUYS. Once I have answers I'll post them.

Here you go:
If you are using STB EMULATOR that you have installed whether on FireStick or on any other Android device, You must populate the "DEVICE ID" and "DEVICE ID2" fields. You can enter any random digits in these fields. You can find DEVICE IDs fields on EMULATOR's "portal profile" -- "STB configuration" under settings.
