Hi all!!!
Does anyone know of a provider that has English (USA, Canada) and Greek channels? The biggest issue I'm having is finding a provider that offers at least 2 connections so I can also record at the same time as watch something different.
Any suggestions would be great!!!

ok2 or wickediptv

OK2 doesn't allow recording, at least not while watching a different channel at the same time anyway.
Are you sure that wickediptv offers that?

I have both and as much as I like wicked (best 24/7 channel selection - no other service comes close), they are not very big on the Greek channels (since the server change). The "working" greek selection is minimal compared to the channel on ok2.

The main greek channels (ANT1, SKAI, ALPHA, EPSILON, many of the ERT channels, etc..) on wicked are often glitching, freeze regularly or no stream. Sometimes they are OK. There is no version of MEGA, and they don't have Odyssey either. I think a stable stream of Odyssey (OTN) which is a north american mix of programming from the various greek networks (as provided by B3ll and others) would be a great addition.

Before the server change, earlier this year, they did have most of the channels up and working great however.

sat9182 is very responsive on this forum and fixes issues quickly. However, since I have OK2 for those occasions when parents and in-laws are over and want to watch their greek programs, I have not bothered to make any requests to fix/change any greek channels on wicked.

There is no "perfect" service out there. Many are great, but they all lack something. Just need to find what is right for you.

As long as you are using a user/pass type of account (XC etc..), not MAC based.

So I'm using OK2 with M3U right now at home. Using tivimate I've with a nvidia shield I've never been able to get recording to work. I just assumed it was because OK2 only uses 1 connection. It obviously could be an issue with tivimate so I'll check it out tonight. So just to double check, you guys are saying that as long as I use a M3U (username and password) then I can record one channel while watching another? I'm still a bit of a noob at all of this but if that's the case then it's a HUGE game changer for me!! Side note, if I can't get tivimate to work what other android app do you guys recommend?

Ahhhh ok cool, didn't know that. I'm actually using a nvidia shield with tivimate installed. If tivimate doesn't work I would love some other suggestions on other apps that would allow it.

You will not be able to record one channel and watch another with OK2. It only allows 1 connection per account.
With Wicked, it allows 2 connections, so you can watch one channel while recording another.

I haven't used Tivimate in ages so don't know what features it has now. However if you are using a legit version of Tivimate, you can probably test the features. I can assure you that at least for Tivimate all the hacked versions floating around have issues (except for really old ones).

I also have a 4900 (actually 2 of them now) and I have tested the recording one channel while watching another with wicked and it works. I rarely use recording anyhow, but the little testing I did, it works.

I definitely have a ligit copy of it. It's only $30 for life time and I can put it on 5 devices, it's not like it brakes the bank.
I had a feeling that was the case for OK2, that's why I was confused when it was suggested. It's a shame that wicked doesn't have odyssey, that's literally all my parents watch. No joke I have tried 10ish providers and OK2 seems like the only one that has that dumb channel.

You can always PM sat9182. He is very responsive and when he can, he adds many channels when requested and has them available from his various stream sources. I'd love to have it also (so I don't need to switch back and forth - but no biggie - I use it as an excuse to not be IPTV tech support for parents/inlaws). This is one of the reasons I never installed IPTV at their house.

If they miss that 7pm program, that they have been going on about all day, it is the end of the world :)
- "And you know, it is this new game show, where a cab driver asks questions..... "
- "YEs Mom. It's a rip off of our canadian CASH CAB"
- "No, no, its new...I'm sure you haven't seen this before"

Lol :) Yes, I have greek parents and inlaws, I know what it's like :)

Pretty sure OK3 is single connection, single stream "officially". Unless something has changed.

Maybe herk can chime in on this one.

i think who need to see it saw it.................
both using the same mac works but my at&t is crap right now
it works fine on my other isp maybe its not suppose to? i dont know?
i do know that numerous viewers can use the same mac or m3u as
long as their on different ip connections thats why hackers post
hacked iptv of course if you use several devices on the same ip it may not work.

Hacked accounts are the creation of lazy, uninformed admins.
1) Don't allow second IP connections,
2) Lock the account to hardware.
3) Don't be lazy and uninformed.

BTW he was asking about ok2 on an m3u line with a buzztv box.

Don't allow second IP connections that only causes pissing matches
between a hacker and the owner of the sub!you will be banning who you shouldn't.

RECORDING is not the issue. You can record with pretty much any service.
The issue is recording, while watching another program on the same service.

OK2/3 are officially single connection per account. So you can record whatever you are watching.
Wicked is single connection on a MAC account, and 2 connection on a user/pass account. So with MAC you have the same issue. With a user/pass account you can watch one program and record another.

I rarely record (except to test boxes and how they behave), but when I do, I just set one box to record on ok2.. And I just watch TV on my other box (either ok2 or wicked). Or I just switch to my OTA and watch a local channel.

I personally don't care to record most things. Sports for me are one thing I can't watch after the fact. Worst case, if I miss a game, I just go online and watch the highlights. For TV shows, they are typically available for download via torrent within 30 minutes after they air, and commercial free.

The only thing I can see with "kouklo" is the fact that mom&dad want to watch odyssey channel :) And most of those programs are not really easy to find online. I know the feeling.

Thank DU.

But actually first post (https://www.satfix.to/showthread.php?219399-a-little-help&p=1336093#post1336093) of the thread he did ask

And I never knew that it is 2 connections per MAC on wicked. Pretty much every time I see sat9182 post it, it always says 1 connection mac 2 for user/pass type of account.
This was the last one (https://www.satfix.to/showthread.php?217336-new-wicked-iptv-server-is-up-for-testing&p=1335502#post1335502) I saw from him, about 2 weeks ago.

1 connection via mac address
or
2 connections via user/pass or m3u

Absolutely correct sir, %99 of the recordings will be of greek contact. Let's be honest here what are the chances of finding some Greek tv show on torrents? LOL

So I got a month of wicked and everything seems to work fine (including recording) except for one thing, the EPG. It is pretty much nonexistent on any of the international channels. I also tried another one called tiger and that one too also had zero EPG for international. I never knew that OK2/3 was so awesome until I actually started looking at others. Hopefully, they add (official) recording sometime soon. herk....I'm looking at you. hahaha
