What are the symptoms of a bad module. My t5 is pixing like crazy although the signal is 97.

If you are on North you could try and remove the HD Module and tune to a SD CHANNEL ON 91 SAT
See if the pix-elating stops etc. Heat is the most likely killer of Module and or components.

A failing LNB will also cause pixing even tho the signal is strong.

Seems to have fixed itself today. Been watching for a couple of hours and not one pixal. Yesterday I tried SD and it was pixing terrible also.

Have you got Cooling Measures in Place, (adding Fans in/on top cover to cool things) I got a set of Portable usb powered fans
that sit on top cover of my T5 sucking/blowing air, cooling things down No Heat Issues at All

I think Auggie is concerned about the wimpy factory power supply being over-taxed.Legitimate concern, especially if it has to deal with a long cable run and legacy switches.

All depends on "ALL" the equipment the T5 has to power/supply, if to much it is over taxed especially with
a weak power supply just Like The Noof said, and the Box being so Tiny it will build up heat from the Cheap components installed
With my T5 I cut 2-holes in top cover 2"x2" opposite each other & with the Two portable usb fans sitting on top of them
My T5 is Nice and COOL, I even put extra Legs under it to raise it up for more air flow.

I do have a long coax( 100 ft). Been using the t5 for at least 5 years, first sign of trouble Saturday. I,m A bit of a lazy bugger so I was liking the fan to go off with the box. Will keep an eye on it, if it starts acting up again,I,ll make some changes. Thanks guys.

100 feet of what type/brand of coax?? 100 feet of standard coax would have some good loss, you would be loosing about 7 dB at the top of the band with standard RG-6.
RG-6 quad would loose about 6 dB, RG-11 would loose about 5 dB.
