Hi, I have a dreamlink T5 and i want to be able to record a program while i can watch another channel, and i know that i can't do that with the T5 so i would like to know what kind of equipment do i need to buy for the setup.

You would have to look for a box that pays TiVo their royalty's, as they own the rights to that type of DVR software.

But they all pay a royalty to TiVo.

And if you look around I don't think you will find a DVR stand alone for satellite.

thank you. but I will explain what I want to do.First I have already a bell sub pvr it's a 9500 with a subscription and I want to plug my dreamlink T5 with my sub box to have all the channels and be able to record a program and watch another.

Can't be done with any single tuner FTA type box with an HD module in it that I know of.

You are not going to get your bell sub to work on your dreamlink.You will need a bell iks sub for dreamlink meaning 2 paid sub's.
