I'm kind of surprised with the whole womans rights stuff that the beauty pagent/contest stuff is still a thing.For so many years, & correctly so, men were accused of exploiting women for their beauty.Something we need to re-evaluate.

I don't think it is exploitation. Most women like to look good and the really beautiful ones are proud to show-off their assets. Besides the beauty pageants you just have to look at the awards shows to see the actresses and singers showing off their designer dresses and hair styles. I am sure that looking great makes the women feel good and they appreciate the attention they get from men (respectable men).
