I bought it thinking the mac changed like previous models. The remote that came with it is hit and miss. Anyone have an answer for the remote sluggish and sniper calibrated. I have the ar100 which works well, this light up remote doesnt seem to acknowledge the buttons pressed with consistency. I tried it with my toshiba smart tv and it doesnt recognize the buzz using a HDMI port. Tried working cables, just makes a pop every 30 second hmmm. Appears to not be compatible with the HDMI on the TV , maybe something can be turned off to fix the issue.

That's why the option is there, compatibility to suit different setups..... You just have to discover instead of...............

There is other minor issues with the software, I am just trying to iron out the main functions related to iptv. Do you have this box? as everything was not incorporated into the software. The picture and speed of the box is what keep me from returning it. Hopefully a future update will bring better stability to this awesome box.

Okay..... What minor issues with the software? What main functions related to iptv are to be ironed out? What are things that wasn't incorporated into the software? What stability issues do you have that you hope a future update will fix?

Let us know so I can try to reproduce these things on the box. That way I can tell you if these things can be fixed via an option on the box that you haven't discovered as yet or if it is another issue that an update would have to fix.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

For the remote, it is a matter of time for them to find the right compromise.

Being a Bluetooth remote and backlit, if can guzzle batteries. So after a certain amount of time, the remote goes to sleep. When that happens you need to press any key, and then wait about 3 seconds, and then the remote will respond as normal. It takes time for it to wake up, and pair with the box again before being active again. It was done to save battery power, but they do realize it needs to be adjusted. But it may take a few iteration to find the sweet spot.

If it is too annoying, you can always unpair the remote, and use it as a plain old IR remote, which it does work as also.

the same goes for the arq <br />
unless you have rechargeable batteries you appreciate the sleep

Did a factory reset and wiped it a few times, before I read maestros posting. The remote paired in 2 seconds this time, the previous original setup it took 15 minutes. I didn't watch it update, it may have been interrupted the first time. This time there was no update, I am hoping the original update is not corrupt. Regarding remote: (When that happens you need to press any key, and then wait about 3 seconds, and then the remote will respond as normal) actually now that I know that its not an issue.

Okay, what are the other issues you mentioned? Especially the one not incorporated into the software

Site wont allow a video of my problem, last night was watching and a big popping sound couple times. The screen flickers and then starts looping with a blue honey comb every second. I can make out the buzz apk and a gear at the top, if I use the mouse and go to the gear, and start striking the ok button I can get into settings and reset the box. Go through setup and watch for hours ,then snap the pic flickers and here we go again looping honeycomb. I have new cables on it now as I just reset everything again. Testing on a Samsung now.

For MAC change, I would love to see it also. I know many server operators prefer not to have it, but considering apps like STB Emu can do exactly that, I don't see the problem. The feature would surely attract more users, but that is a business decision, and won't go any further on it. Because of that, I often take a username/pass streaming line sub when available, so no worries about which box it is on. Buzz supports these as seamlessly as a MAC sub.

For the Videos you posted, I have not seen any of the above behaviors on my xrs4500 box (which I've had for a few weeks now).

First one, can sometimes be a bad HDMI cable (lost sync and then tries to recover). Just curiuous if you have tried it with a different cable and on another TV.

Second one is strange. Does a power cycle typically fix it ? How do you typically get out of this situation ? Wondering if it is a potential glitched/bad update. The fact that you say you have factory reset it a few times, it is not just a corrupt setting of sort. But could be a bad memory chip. Just takes one bad bit.

Won't rule out the potential bad box. Hey you can get a bad one with anything. I had bought a $3500 Samsung TV for the office, and the damn power supply failed within less than a week. Great TV, but infant mortality on electronics is a thing, even with the best of them.

Have you reached out to your seller and/or buzz to see what they can do ?

which home screen interface are you using?
Are you using media player? If so do a factory set and leave at modern for now

Using modern ....it glitches with a loud snapping noise then loops. If you stare at the looping long enough you see a buzz logo and a plus sign with a gear at the top right, which I move the mouse to it and keep pressing it till it catches. lol Will test it over the weekend

Like I mentioned I will test it all weekend, I don't think somethings wrong with the 4500.I am starting to believe something triggers it into this mode. If that fails, thanks for the help url.

You dont have to fill out a rma but they can look at your issue and offer help
There is another looping issue which is caused by a weather widget. Buzz might be able to help you onlineMost of the buzz testers on this site use the same interface as you and have not reported any issues.
What apps have you installed?

I haven't installed anything I just received the box Tuesday evening. I have turned off all google, play store and services. Aptitude and everything not iptv related. Its been fine for 2 hrs now. I do not know if it's calling home and being zapped for trying, it is certainly a different issue as I can not find anyone with a similar issue. I really believe something triggers it. When my weekend test is over I will either seeks support or exchange.

Is anyone using a buzz 4500 with a smart tv?Yes and i'm having some problems with boxes flashing off and on. But i don't know if it's the tv, Onkyo receiver or if it's the HDMI cable. I did try another HDMI and got nothing but a blank screen.
Did you try another hdmi cable as suggested? I'm going to go find another hdmi cable. Then i will report back later.

Tried 3 working cables, I dont think they are compatible with the present software. I have an Onkyo as well but bypassed it for testing. When I chose the HDMI port for the buzz 1,2 or 3 you would think thats it, what ever is attached to it would play. Something is interrupting the connection for some unknown reason they dont agree.

I had this problem on my onkyo txnr 838. I found the DVD input worked best and changed cables and the problem stopped and works fine now. Was doing all sort of crazy stuff before. Btw onkyo discontinuing support for siriusxm has been a real let down. I finally got an onkyo rep to admit they had a falling out with sirius and will not enter an agreement for streaming their service thru onkyo. Sirius was cutting my onkyo off after 20 minutes. Enough people must have complained and the service works again, but for how long?

I would think someone from buzz would know why a new smart tv dont like the buzz. Hopefully they will have a fix in an update or its just a bug. Im looking forward to the next update.
