I haven't used my T4 or T5 for quite a while - but I do use my old Dreambox 500-S once in a while.

I have a friend with slow internet connection at his cottage and looking to upgrade from his DreamBox so he can get HD.
Are the DreamLink T4s and T5s still working good for HD - or are their now any better alternatives?

I checked WorldWideSatellites and they are out of stock for DreamLinks and Linkboxes, FTATronix and AngelElectronics are also out of stock.

Does anyone know who might have these in stock with the module inserted?

T4 & T5 both working very well with north.I can't say for south.HD pic is quite good. Both models are stable & reliable. The DL 100/200 modules are the most likely thing to give you grief, & some have had power supply issues. They seem to work the best with legacy lnb's & switches, at least for me.

Look through sites like Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji. Found a T5 for $25 (module cost 29.99) and a T4 with module for $40. I recently had an option for a T6 for $20 but decided to pass. All CDN funds........Within the last 3 months.

Thanks guys - I did try AngelElectronics TLG - but they are out of stock.

I'm going to plug in one of mine and check it out. My DreamBox and then DreamLink receivers have always been my go to receivers - I can't believe that after all these years my old DreamBox 500-S is still working :-)
They don't have all the bells and whistles like some of the new IPTV Players - Tivimate, IMPlayer & OTT - but IKS south seems to have been pretty reliable.

At this stage of the GAME (More&More moving to IPTV) you will be Hard Pressed to find a "USED"
DL-T4-5 or any FTA Receiver for that matter, not being made anymore.
