Both boxes are running Android 9.0 Pie with the new BuzzTV 4.0 Update.
Key difference between the 4000s and 4500s is the S905X3 processor as opposed to the S905X2 in the 4000s, along with GIGABIT LAN!! (finally!)
XRS model has increased storage capacity from 32 GB to 64 GB.
The timeline for release is between now and end of February.
Specs for XRS4500 (High End):
Amlogic S905X3
4GB DDR4 RAM
64GB Storage
Dual Band WiFi AC
2X2 MIMO technology
Gigabit LAN
Optical
Bluetooth Remote with new Backlit Buttons
Buzztv 4.0 Integrated IPTV Platform
Specs for XR4500:
Amlogic S905X3
2GB DDR4 RAM
16GB Storage
Dual Band WiFi AC
2X2 MIMO technology
Gigabit LAN
Optical
Bluetooth Remote with new Backlit Buttons
Buzztv 4.0 Integrated IPTV Platform
I hope these boxes are running an arm64-v8 (64-bit) variant of Android as opposed to the armv7 (32-bit). These processors are more than capable of running a 64-bit OS.

Here are some images from the official Buzz distributor Kuul Media. They seem to look identical to the 4000 series. The only differentiator (i would assume) would be the optical port output on the back.

I'm curious to know the pricing for these new boxes. I hope it's similar to the 4000 series.

Looks like certain boxes using the Amlogic S905X3 are running Android 10. This means that Amlogic may release its sources for Android 10 soon, allowing Buzz Team to work on Android 10 and (hopefully) push out an update OTA to deliver Android 10 to these XR/XRS 4500 boxes.
To clarify: The boxes I linked to that are running Android 10 are not IPTV boxes. Rather they are set top boxes licensed to broadcast and pay tv operators. However it is relevant to the discussion because it means that Amlogic's (currently unreleased) Android 10 sources for the S905X3 are probably stable.

do you really think that makes a difference?
I have devices on 6 and run fine
every app I throw at it worx
I even have 5 and still worx
Mentioned few months back how the 4000 should have had the s905x3 and gig Ethernet as opposed to the s905x2. look Forward to the 4900 it’s supposed to use s922 chip.

Was a great suggestion back then and still is now.
But S905X3 was not available for mass production until Dec/Jan
It was still in pre production before Dec 2019 and not available in mass qty from Amlogic.

Android 10 SDK is still pre release from Amlogic, and was only given as Android TV SDK, not AOSP.
It still needs a lot of work
It took 4 SDK updates from Amlogic before Android 9 became stable.
They're on their 6th SDK version now 01-17-20, for Android 9.
Plus what is the reason for wanting Android 10?
As I have not seen any added benefits listed for Android 10 from Google that would benefit a TV Box.
Can't wait to pick up one at launch on Friday! Another new toy.

My findings after 2 days of use:
Pro-great picture, probably the best Iv'e seen on an IPTV box
-all functions VERY fast
-excellent GUI
-FINALLY fixed the pvr button. It actualy controls pvr function(on my 3900, pressing the pvr button makes my neighbors car horn honk)
Con-I can't get any version of Netflix or Amazon Prime Video to link/ work
-Unit freezes periodically, losing remote control functions
-I hate the fixed mac addy design
-the off status on the power led is brighter than an aircraft landing light.
That's it so far.

On my 4500, I'm using Netflix-6.26.1_build_15_31696.apk. Runs perfect, excellent Picture.
As for Amazon Prime, I found it in the Google Play store in the Buzz box.
I use a mouse for both Netflix and Prime
Other than that, they were great.

Received my XRS 4500 and all the hype is real. I didn't think it would be a big upgrade over my 3000 and it is. Pic quality, speed, remote, m3u support, I can go on and on. It's worth the upgrade.
