I would suggest linkbox 9000i , i bought one from hypermegasat and the ls500 module is still available on ebay

I agree.....Dreamlink is the easiest to set up as well.

These boxes usually don’t support turbo 8psk, which is different from the regular dvb-s2 8psk (which is received by most dvbs2 receivers without any add on modules).

You can't go wrong with a T5...just make sure you get a fan. I've had two for the past 7 years!!!

Depends whether one wants one or both as to what may or may not work. Software and or hardware could play a factor with some older SD units as well. Research and read read till your eyes bleed. Examples...

From my research if one is looking for new/both then options are limited. If one is looking for used/one then there are more options. Again software and or hardware can play a factory or the lack of.

Nfusion HD is confirmed working with B3v all chs, as stated in the above post read & somewhere you’ll find all you need on this forum.

all I did with my T5 was raise it higher and that seems to work just fine, have mine for about 5 years and still running great

If it's the T4 he has an HD capable receiver...just add a dl100/dl200.
Only practical if used for Bell though

It's easy:hot air gun the embedded cam & remove it from the board.Glitch the cam for box keys/cam i.d.Might as well dump the tsop & eep while your at it.Save this data for echo client.Reball the motherboard.Hot air gun the cam back on the board.Set up echo client or equivalent.
Tom was a blessing DU.I tried 3 ird's & ruined 2 .

P.S...forgot about the avr & card slot mods too.lol.
It all makes a DL T5 a very good choice.
