Raccoon dog

This is the raccoon dog, the only extant species in the genus Nyctereutes. It's a close relative of true foxes and the only canid known to hibernate during the winter.

Had to google (extant) which means still in existence; surviving.Never seen one before.

i'd love to have one as a pet . got raccoons in my yard almost every night.
