Includes a bluetooth remote, which is nice, no need to point...
But also comes with an ARQ-100, so I'm assuming there is a USB port on the 3100 ? Or they have an RF receiver on board which can easily pair with the ARQ-100 ?

Nice low cost device for when you travel. $79 including the ARQ-100 is not bad considering WWS is selling the ARQ-100 alone for $30.

Prob a rebrand of that with arq remote and buzz app installed.
195x has USB port on back side.

I'm just saying it's interesting to know what the original box/device was with these rebranded buzz models. Like the 3000m what is it...repackaged ATV 495 or something like that?

I inquired about this and was told it is only wifi, no ethernet port. It also doesnt have a power cable, only usb which should be ok. May pick one up as they are only $69 CDN here and it does come with both remotes.

just like the firestick you would need to buy an ethernet adapter
but then you wouldn't be able to use air remote

3100 hardware (s905) is kinda dated most will prob get firestick 4K (MT8695) if u need a entry level device.
I guess 3100 is entry way to acess buzztv app but boomrang mate (s905w)or buzz3000 (s905x)be the better path more USB ports and lan . If u wait for the buzz4000 (s905x2) it should perform better than all those.
It comes down to your budget and what features and apps you need.

If u need more USB ports and lan on 3100 or any other device there are USB hubs that add 2-4 USB ports and a lan port maybe give those a shot see if they work.

Picked one up today for fun on my weekly trek to my box supplier. Will play around with it later.

Initial thoughts - very poor packaging. The stick doesn't even fit in the foam cutout. Just a sticker on the cardboard box and stick. Definately screams repackaged mygica lol.

Wondering the same thing....Was going to pick one up but some posts had me thinking this is kind of a downgrade from having the stb.
Might be good if you dont want to spend the $$ on the actual box though.

They did. I guess they couldn't put the dongle in the arq as there's batteries in there already. But the stick with antenna and dongle doesn't even fit in the foam cutout.

I've never had a box come with a removable antenna attached
and both my air remotes the dongle was in battery compartment
I'm thinking your supplier did this?

Antenna is not removable.

When I bought the arq separate a few months ago mine was same with dongle in comparmtnet. Everything was in the box when I picked it up today - remotes, box and accessories. Ill ask him if he put the dongle on the stick.

I haven't played around with it yet. The antenna does come out easily. I doubt the supplier would attach dongle and antenna to the sticks himself.

But this mygica stick comes in a plain white box with q buzz sticker. Not the packaging in the video.

I'm talking in general and that includes routers
less chance of damage during shipping by leaving antenna(s) off

I totally agree. I'm going to get a few more sticks next week if this this stick fares well.

So far I quite like it. I do prefer android 7 but this stick is quick and does the job. I like the powerkey definition option which isn't with android 6. I'm more worried about future proofing and will it get updates.

It's not using the "buzztv2" app but instead the "buzztv 195" app. Right now it's on app version 307. Has m3u support so that's good.

I'll test out recording features this week as well as install a few apps on it that I generally add on the boxes for customers for movies and tv.

So far performance is on par with the 2 gig buzz's but I've only used it for IPTV.

Argh...I can't turn the stick on after powering it down withe BT remote. I have to resort to unplugging the power. It can wake the stick up from standby though. Will have to do more testing.

After using the 3100 for a week now it's not bad. Powering the unit on with the BT remote after I turn it off sometimes doesn't work and I have to unplug the unit to turn it back on. Also this stick runs super hot after 5 minutes of watching almost to the point of unbearable to touch like if I were to unplug it from the HDMI port.

Are there any long term issues with the unit running so hot like damage to the internals?

Oh and tomorrow I'm going to try to install the buzztv2 apk (version 317) and see if it works on this stick.

So would the 3100 dongle be like having the 3000 basic model box? If it is, wouldnt it be better to just get the 3000 basic and not worry about heat issues mentioned above and being sure to get updates?

Think this is targeted at people wanting something cheaper than even basic and something small otherwise yea I would def get a box that has Ethernet and more USB ports. The 3100 does come with airremote which is a plus
