I had a dreamlink T4 that was connected to a TV with HDMI and to a second older TV with the RCA audio/video and both TVs worked great.

Now I have replaced the T4 with a Buzz IPTV. The Buzz works great on the HDMI TV but it doesn't have RCA output.

I installed an HDMI splitter and connected the TV to one of the outputs and it works good. Then I connect the HDMI from the splitter to an HDMI/RCA converter and the old TV works good. When I plug both cables to the splitter output I loose video on both TVs, audio still works.

Anybody know why I can only connect one output at a time?

What type/brand is the splitter?

No name on it. It's just a passive splitter.

Like a "Y" cable, or box type?

Also:is the power down method on the Buzz set to standby or power off?

You need an active not passive splitter.

Use this term on ebay:

"Rasfox 4K HDMI Splitter 1X2 1 in 2 out Hub Repeater Amplifier 1080p,Connect 2 TV" that one is nice because it comes with power supply too, but any like it is good.

It's a small molded Y - one in and two out.

You are probably right, I need an active splitter. I was hoping this cheap one would work but I guess I need to isolate the two outputs. The splitter I have is probably just paralleling the two outputs.
