Manny was lucky to pull it off... he was really running out of gas..
Thurmond was hurting him at the end..
Great bout.. took alot out of both of em..

Quick note.... read where Roach is going to talk to Manny about retiring.
Said he took too many vicious shots.. said a younger Manny would have
knocked Thurmond out early in the bout.. especially after the vicious
body blow that bent thurmond over..
The Times also said Manny looked 50 years old at the end... time to quit.
Quit while you are on top....
I was rooting for Manny all the way... the guy is a class act... a great fighter.
Hall of Famer for sure..
But, we have to know when our time has come... like a Marciano..
People have to remember, Manny is not a natural 147 pounder.. makes
his win even more astounding.
Understand Manny wants to run for President of the Philipines..
Hopefully he does,, and wins!
Hope Roach can convince him that now is the time to go out on top.....
