where is it used?
It’s live tv app looks identical to buzz app. Same options GUI and menu in the Livetv app. Saw Version 2.0 (262) updated 03/20/2019 on bottom menu screen. Looks to be using newer version of the buzz app than on the actual buzz units. Latest update on buzz is Version 2.0 (247) 02/14/2019

then why does the grid epg look different on my buzz than the picture above?
I guess they Changed the color to blue instead of orange maybe few other changes if u noticed anything else. Saw a boomrang box running and it navigated and GUI looked just like a buzz except that blue color and placement of boomerang logo top left where buzz logo usually is. . Also the menu looked identical showing version of app too.

not colour
where's the categories on the left menu bar when in grid epg
In epg guide I’ve never seen catagories listed show what u in or ability to change them that was a suggestion I made a while back. As for regular list the reason you don’t see catigories is its set to simple view not detail view. I see they added live logo in channel list to show what channel is playing in preview window another thing I suggested while back.
Just saw a buzz xpl3900 and noticed it’s livetv app was indeed updated and also includes that Livetv icon it says version 2.0 (294) updated 05/14. 1 week ago. Still orange highlight so that blue color looks to be specific to this boomerang.

are you sure it was 294?not 295?
294 dated May 14th on a 3900 I saw today. I wrote it down when I saw it. Very well could be at 295 now or not updated to 295 I don’t have acess to it I just saw it running. The xpl3000 still at 247 last time I saw it, I gave that one away since I never really used it much and will prob use it when new update comes out.

Agreed boomerang is more just for iptv, 3900 can do quite a bit more
