Well thanks to our greedy FCC and cell phone companies
the FCC unanimously voted to allow 5g networks to use cband. Now the question is how much of the spectrum will they get? This is just like the tax man. They will want more and more till it's all theirs. They are already suggesting cband users go to ka or ku.
I fear plenty of interference to be coming soon.

no surprise here.
they already stole the analog bands for 5G and were left with crap OTA that doesn't play in the rain at all.
never underestimate the greedy elite. if the economy crashed they'd come load up all your food for themselves also.

Most of the small market CATV company's and some local TV stations use "C" band down links for premium programming, once the interference starts (if any) to those satellites there will be many many lawsuit's.

My friend sold his catv cband business and told me there will be interference. He went to fiber after 40 years in cband. The initial impact is almost half of the spectrum at 200 of 500 ghz. The phone providers are launching 8 satellites and claiming they will help filter the cband operators setups. I say bs just more bs. The providers have promised all satellites will be made in America. Just more greasing to get this done. At the end of the day the TV Industry is losing money and the phone companies are gaining.

I don't see how it wouldn't interfere. My understanding is 5G needs a tower every 1/2 mile to be effective.

Well the towers would have to be out front of the "C" band dish to cause any possible problems, but they have filter's now that can help.
