We could usually do 6 Dishnet receivers without a problem - but once in a while I'd get the dreaded audit call. Had to tell them I was on my cell phone and not back until tomorrow - so I could get ready for them :-)

Never had a call from Bell - but they never killed the cards like Dishnet was doing - so you didn't have to put a ton of receivers on accounts.

When Dishnet was hitting every month - it didn't matter if they did an audit and turned off all your receivers but one. The cards were not in the receiver so never took the de-authorization update :-)
After the monthly card hit - you had to make a new account and buy new receivers anyway.

You could subscribe to a basic package - then call up and and upgrade to their best package with international channels - as soon as the card took the update - you pull the cards from the receiver - and then change back to the basic package.
The tiers were still good on the cards for 45 days.
