Changing channels

I've had a dream link T5 for years and it always work good , and the last of the while , sometimes when I change channels it keeps on changing the channels until I press the exit button. It starts doing that all of a sudden , sometimes for a couple of hours , sometimes for a couple of days then it goes back to normal. Can anybody tell me what is causing that.

I have several remotes, all work the same, 4 remotes to be exact.

I have a splitter on my system I unplugged it and then plug it back in and now it works
