If the programming is unencrypted on that sat, I would think it's ready to go out of the box?

Did you find all your channels on the factory file?
The 363 bin had transponder updates for 110/119/129 but I don't know if that is needed for 97w.
Before you load anything, check the record button on your remote and make sure it is red not white.

The kodi on the T6 has been terrible since it came out, I suggest you don't bother with addons and apps, just use it as a satellite box because if you install anything the kodi will start crashing at random times but if you leave it clean it runs very well as a sat box.

You can access the tvheadend from your pc and watch tv on there too.

You should be able to see the signal with the factory file, is your dish already pointed at 97w with a good signal?
What version of kodi do you have on there? When I got mine it had kodi 14, I think that was r18.
I am guessing r20 is the factory file with kodi 15 upgrade?
The 363 bin has kodi 15.
