The update server has been turned off for the holiday
It will be turned back on on the 26th

Weird I got the update on the 2017 model the 2018 ones that I have in the other rooms didn't get the update till today,but I found the way to update them ,I copied the update to a memory stick and installed on the other boxes :)

if you were able to load to a usb stick you should be able to post it

It's not like the box is completely broken. These are some nice fixes.
Better being off for the holidays, than having it on, someone having issues and people expecting to get answers over the holidays. It's not critical, so it can wait.

So just curious..is the interface much better than the previous version. I have been using the not-updated version for almost a week. No issues but just curious now how the interface looks

I have been waiting for the update as I'm with Rocket and the movies always pause... it's unwatchable. Funny thing is I removed all updates and am now on a april 2018 update and using the (damn can't think of the name) BETA viewer and it works better than the july 2018 update. I hope I get the new update but if it isn't working any better I will go back to the April version.

Also has a weird habit of reverting to Chinese lol.

Have to mess around with it tonight see whats going on.

This is what happens when you let you family mess with it during the holidays after drinking 95% alcohol.

One of them turned on the cec which had the auto change language checked.

Could have been worse like Swahili or something lol ;)

Is the update server actually on?

Three out of four boxes have not received the update and the one that did was last Friday.

Talked to our local store and they received a huge number of complaints that the vast majority of the boxes they sold have not received the update and no one seen any box update since last Friday.
They mentioned boxes that were sent out of factory with firmware from july are not seeing any updates be it the new one or anything in between.
Others with newer firmware are also not receiving updates

This is quite unusual for buzz tv which is normally quite quick with getting the updates out.

Is there a issue going on here that we haven't been informed about but should know?

A staggered release of the update is understandable but a utter lack of any updates even accounting for for the holiday shutdown time is looking quite odd.
A complete lack of information on whats going on is not helping matters much.

i cantacted the seller he claims that the updates are off because of holidays. he did not give any fixed date to resume updates.

it works a lot better for a company to come out and say hey we got a issues with our update server or we off tell jan2 so the updates wont be coming out.

there is no update to give so please do as suggested!!!
Begging whether it be bin begging,file begging etc has never been tolerated here

How many posts have called for patience during the roll-out of this latest update.... to legitimate questions like yours? Did you not read these posts? Certainly you would have got a general idea that the update will get to you but you keep pumping yourself up and grabbing at every thing. No is saying buzz owners don't have a reason to ask a question but every single day you ride the same tune, while getting the same answers. Take it easy bro...... the buzz team won't let you down.

So in case anyone is wondering the upgrade servers are not up and just as the resellers have be told there no eta due to issues

Getting the same answers to your same questions here every day and still bugging resellers, and buzz support every day.... to come here and tell us what we have been telling you and others (in case you don't read other threads/posts) every single day......... cannot be mature.

No one is against you being excited or anxious about receiving the Buzz TV app update, it's a great box, a great brand, a great team........ but if everyone is calling for calm and patience.... and you being the mature one is crying everyday about your android 6 or 7 and 2017 or 2018, and the reseller told you the cow jumped over the moon, and you question the update server, the dates....... You are eroding your maturity levels bro

Relax and be patient, let's see if you decide to do that now that you've contacted buzz directly, who told you the same thing the reseller told you, which is what you've been reading (I hope) here for the last few days.

Prove your maturity and respond to this post....

Honestly no. Or rather I could have figured out something totally different. For instance that for some reason of which I am not aware of, the update was sent to my device but it did not go through.

A friends box has been doing this for some time now and was unable to figure out what was causing it..... Thanks will check the CEC settings

May be I can read but I am too stupid to understand what I read!:okay: Is this the official BUZZ web site to make anything absolute regarding the date the server was put back on? If this is not the official site then you can figure out that the problem is not that some people just can not read.

Things get complicated when you fail to ensure you read through the posts in a particular thread that may have important information or answers to whatever query or question you may have.

You can try "schedule recording" to see if the update fixed it.
