Dish Network loves Ellen DeGeneres

Hollywood, CA, United States (AHN) - For those who might have any doubt, Dish Network loves Ellen DeGeneres and they are making it quite clear on their onscreen program guide. After an Ellen fan sent in a letter complaining that DeGeneres’s name was left off the list of “American Idol” judges on their program guide, the home satellite provider quickly made amends to remedy the slight oversight.
Now, each time the network’s audience of over 30 million viewers tune in to watch the popular reality competition show, the description on the program guide reads: “American Idol, starring Ellen DeGeneres and some other people.” Additionally, Dish Network went even further to show how sorry they were to America’s most-liked comedian as Ellen’s own talk show received it’s own tune-up that says: “What will Ellen DeGeneres, the world’s funniest and sexiest woman, do today?”
And as if that weren’t enough, for anyone who might doubt the funny lady’s love for her country, or for the world for that matter, can tune into the network’s Earth Channel to see it be renamed to “Ellen DeGeneres Loves Planet Earth,” with the description reading: “Not only does she love America, and other countries, but the ENTIRE PLANET.”
No word on whether any other celebrities, including fellow AI judge Simon Cowell, would be receiving similar treatment on other satellite and cable television providers. For now, it looks like Dish Network has love for only one television superstar, and that’s clearly Ellen.
