I turned on my Buzz box today and it continues to cycles through the BuzzTV startup.

I get the BuzzTV screen splash, then the 3 coloured dots in the bottom middle of screeen and then it starts the cycle again. The app never goes further into running the full Buzz app.

I did not perform any updates, nor have I been installing any software on the box.

What should I do?

Thanks
Brad

Do a factory reset. You might have done something and didn't realize because this is a strange one

Thanks for responding.

How do I do a factory reset? I assume there is a soft reset and a hard reset..?

The factory reset worked. I just had to re-enter the server address and re-update some apps.

To be clear, I had been watching TV yesterday and then powered down. Then when I turned it on today, it started do it's continuous restart loop. From the chatter on this forum, the next Buzz update was not pushed as it is in beta, so I don't think there was a software or firmware update in the last 24 hours. Not sure what happened but thank you dishuser for your advice.

A power surge or a bad update can cause this.
Always surge protect your electronics its much cheaper then replacing them :)

Very rarely its bad hardware and thankfully in your case it wasn't

Yup, that's what I tell all of my customers. It's always good advice.

That's what i told my friend and then there was a storm which caused a branch to break that hit the power line.

Everything in the house went poof that was plugged in and now he listens lol

Painful way to learn :)
