Both guys lost thier job when the UFC was sold to the WME-IMG group

I think Liddell was sincere in that he believed he got clipped and didn't
get a chance to fight and was gracious in defeat, saying "the better man won tonight"

However, Ortiz looked conditioned, was loose and flexible and Liddell looked old, stiff
and slow. He was looking to (or praying for) a one punch knockdown

I think they were promoting "Golden Boy Promotions" and I also think they wanted it to
be a fight ,,, its just that Liddells' showing was ridiculous
