I just had the same problem.....Maybe its the same as the OP?
I just fired up 3 new boxes and the 2nd one wouldnt connect with ethernet. Ive hooked up over 20 boxes and never had this happen.
When I even go to the LAN settings, it goes straight to wifi settings. I tried rebooting router, modem and switched to a new cable.
Did the OP finally figure this out or could it just be a prob with the box itself?
FYI---Didnt want to post a new thread about the same prob, hope thats ok.

I cant get to the LAN settings. It goes straight to wifi settings. But do you mean go to apps, not settings and try to get ethernet through there? Ill take a look at that way later. Had to take a 2nd look at the post to see how you were getting to ethernet settings.
Will post back in a while.......

Worked perfectly......Thanks. Didnt know those additional settings were there. I sent back a unit a while ago due to the remote becoming unresponsive....Wonder if I could have fixed it there......hhmmm.
Thanks again for the help.

All 5 boxes were the same. Ive set up a few older ones and a bunch of the new ones and never had to do that with any of them. At least if it happens again, Ill know where to look.
