I have a Dreamlink V. 1 or 2 and lately I have lost the signal and quality for Nimiq 91 in dish settings that seems to go red only on one of my Dreamlink boxes. Is there a way of fixing this? Thanks in advance.

process of elimination Find what is going to that rcvr, cable, switch ,port on lnb

Thanks I checked it out the only thing is that I cannot run 91, 110 and 119 on two switches from same dish.

Standard 18" oval dish with 119 port 1, 110 port 2 and 91 on port 3. I had to disconnect cable going from sat 110 and 119 from one disque switch, and the other running only 91. All of them are single LNB Type 11.250 Frequency, and using DISEqC SW 1.0 port 1, 2 or 3.

I cannot watch 91 at the same time on both boxes, because when I try to switch on one box to 110 91 says bad signal.

I have tried to connect a switch that has 12-18v so 110 is LNB 22KHz On for Port 2 it worked for awhile but then stopped working.

Do you think I should not run Sat 119,110, and 91 from two switches from same dish meaning just have Sat 119 and 110 on 1 dish and I have another dish that is round so to have 91 and maybe 82 from that dish?

Thanks in advance.

All 3 LNB's should be of the same type and brand, if not then you could get some switching problems.

And an 18" dish may not have enough receive beamwidth to get a good enough signal on satellites spaced from 119 to 91, thats 28 degrees of separation, you would need at least a 24" elipticall dish to get a good signal on satellites that far apart.

And the switch needs to be able to see all 3 LNB's at the same time, and you should use one single switch, using two switches may confuse the setup.

Are all the LNB's the legacy switching type? (+13 and +18 volt) Or are they mixed types?

Also you can't split a legacy LNB between two Diseqc switches, it wont work.

If all legacy then you need a legacy SW64 switch, this will take 2 inputs from each LNB to 3 FTA receivers.

If all LNB's are single DP type then a DP44 switch can be used, this way you only need the one output from each LNB to the switch, it will then run up to 3 FTA receivers.

It's best to use a single switch for up to 4 satellites to 2 or more receivers, this can help eliminate switching problems between two independent switches.

Also make sure all switches are grounded to the same Earth ground, this will help eliminate switching problems due to coax cross talk.

There are 3 DBS / Circular Dual LNBF LNBs sorry not on a round dish but an eliptical dish. Sat 119, 110 and 91 are connected to 2 4x1 BAFF Disque Switches. The eliptical dish is close to 22x18", and the other dish is a round 21" with 1 legacy LNB. One of the Disque Switches has some rust on it could that be why there is a connecting issue? I also have grounding connected to all Switches and Dishes. There were 2 other Zinwell multi switches connected to the 2 BAFF Switches, but I was getting washed out video on 1 TV though 1 box on 1 Sat so I disconnected the Zinwell Switches. Either I have in issue with the BAFF and/or Zinwell switches maybe 1 or more ports could have been blown for some reason. That is why I am asking maybe having to replace 1 or more switches to have only Sat 91 on the dish with the legacy LNB, but only 1 coax cable going to the box. The other eliptical dish could just have the other switch on Sat 110 and 119. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Asking question in the Switches Forum.

Wait a second we are looking at 4 LNB's not 3 as you first posted.

And with the legacy LNB in this mix and so many switches that could be the problem.

I would go with all 4 LNB's as DP single LNB's (dual output) run into a single DPP44 switch, this way you can run 3 FTA receivers off this setup.

But for clarification how many satellites are you trying to look at? 3 or 4?

There were 4 LNBs, but now only 3 LNBs 119,110 and 91 and as stated with pic in the switches forum they are all universal standard dual LNBs. I am not using the Legacy LNB that was for sat 129 on the 21-22" round dish anymore.
