My cousins cousin just replaced his Ilink9000i with a new dreamlink T5,he tried to populate epg on 82/91 and receiver shows no epg channel. He had no issue with previous receivers 12.224 is the epg transponder it shows full quality and signal till you attempt to scan then q and s drop and does not scan. Before he digs any deeper he's wondering if this is the same for all T5 receivers or should he troubleshoot further?

Tried manual automatic, same result,he's wondering if it may be the factory file in the box or are all T5's having this issue

are you using single lnbs? Bypass switch and run direct to box.

He will have to try that, just seems odd it's doing this, his linkbox and old dreamlink scanned fine. He checked all tps on 91 and found 12.224 12.297 12.384 .12.472 12.370 12.457 all red

He's going to install new emp Centauri switch and see if that helps,I don't think it's an alignment issue as 82/91 on same dish 82 is perfect

I think there's something wrong with the T5,I hooked up his old dreamlink, scanned 12.224 got 21 channels blue bars before during and after scan. I notice small lines running horizontaly across the screen occasionally,I think this box may have a grounding issue or something. He may call the supplier to try to exchange the unit

I emailed the dealer he got the T5 from, heres his response...
If you are getting any channels the dreamlink is not defective.

> That does not mean the switch is defective. It is just incompatible.

The T5 does not like Emp centauri switches,we replaced with royal switches and now scans all tp's

this box still gets faint horizontal lines running up and down screen, especially on HD channels, could this be a ground issue?

Maybe a resolution setting issue between TV and box--say if one were set for 520 and the other 1070 (can't really recall the real pixel counts allowed for TVs these days). Some sort of conversion issue going from a source that is 760 to force it to be 1070?

Thank you,I will look further,it is only this box that's doing it.
