A bit more info on your setup would be helpful.
Number of satellites your looking at and their sat numbers (110, 119, 129 or 82, 91 what)
Types of LNB's and dish setups?
Type brand of Diseqc switch.
And did you have any heavy wind/rain storms lately ?

Sounds like a power supply issue. Maybe one that is heat intermittent--signal at your friends house because box was cold, but warmed up at your home and signal problem came back? Ethernet issue could be power too, but hard to tell.

Do a fatory reset 3 times in a row. Then turn off on back. THEN BACK ON Then scan all sat.Make sure u have a good switch that is brand new. T
If you are using a switch I would bypass it and hook direct to RCVR . Be sure the replacement LNB is the same IF , 11250 IF. How did u check wiring ? Use a meter at the lnb end to see if you have the correct voltage. Be sure the dish did not move. Start there.
