Lost my big brother and best friend this morning

Received a phone call early this morning that my big brother and best friend passed away in the middle of the night.
Friggin cancer - I hate it. R.I.P bros - you will never be forgotten

I am one of the ones from baby boomer era and have lost so many in the last year and two

Its hard seeing so many friends and family pass

Stay strong

Grasp life and enjoy well you can is way I try to live my life, So much can happen so fast

We can only give hope & think the ones that pass are in a much better place with no more stress and worries.

Thanks so much guys - a few months ago I could not have imagined - that I would wake up some day and my big brother would not be there - a few months ago I could not have imagined baring my soul to people I have never met before - I wish I could wake up tomorrow and find out this was just a bad dream - but I know it is not going to happen.
I go through bouts of denial - bouts of tears and sorrow - rage and anger and ..... at times peace - knowing that he enjoyed a long fun filled life.

Even though I have never met most of you replying to this thread I really appreciate it - I found out today that it helps to bare your sole to a community of friends.

You would think with all the money that we are throwing at it - that we would have made more progress by now to find more cures - hang in there jainplane - you are in my thoughts and prayers - it is crazy how many people in our lives that this hideous disease affects. Maybe it is because I am getting older that I seem to see more of it everywhere I turn - maybe I'm just paying more attention now than I did before

Sometimes I want to throw a rock through my window or smash something - sometimes I just want to hug my grandchildren - sometimes I just sit alone and think - when I get feeling down it is comforting to log in here and know that people care and most have gone through something similar and eventually life will get back to normal.
