Kodi upgraded to 17 and now I can't add things.
I go system/add-on /install from zip file.
Where is install from zip file. Can't find it.
I can find install from repository but need other step first.

Had the same problem - it is not easy to find.
First in your settings make sure you are in Expert mode.

From the Main Kodi screen click on the gear at the top to go to System - then click on Service Settings - at the bottom make sure it is Expert.

Next click on System Settings and then Addons - make sure Unknown sources is turned ON

Exit out of System and get back to the main menu - click on Addons - then on the top row you should see an open box icon and then the gear icon to the right.
Click on the little open box icon

That should take you to the Add-on Browser - there you will see Install from zip

Thank you jedi.
That worked.
Kodi 16.1 so far is far better than 17

And they are already working on Kodi 18. Those who are used to working with 16.1 and below are in for a big shock when upgrading to 17. I've been using it since the first RC and I still can't get used to it and would rather use 16.1 on most of my streaming boxes.

Switch back to the Confluence Skin. You'll get back everything you had before. I did it and now I'm happy. See here: hxxps://www.tvaddons.ag/confluence-kodi-krypton/

You can put a build on it ...looks the same as 16.1 but only faster with more options.
