Hello friends, I was checking satbeams and found at 111west a sat for Puerto Rico, beam for Puerto Rico when I click on the PR footprint I see the menu it says S-Band, what is this and what LNB do I need for that sat, maybe I need a different STB as well I mean I never heard of this, I heard about KA wish I got a slim line dish with dtv 5lnb for testing but S-Band???new to me,TY in advance TURBO,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

In some countries, S band is used for Direct-to-Home satellite television (unlike similar services in most countries, which use Ku band). The frequency typically allocated for this service is 2.5 to 2.7 GHz (LOF 1.570 GHz).

TY NP, so I can aim this sat with a regular KU band LNB? or am I still confuse?

Thanks my friend, I think a receiver for s-band also is needed...............I see foot print for USA also..........

hmmmm...... I'm not so sure about that.......as long as you have the all freq's in place.....and the lnb........you should be good.......:noidea:
