Blower resistors & their connectors are common problems, but if the resistor IS the culprit, it should still have the highest speed only.
If it has NO speeds, start by checking the fuse. The fuse box cover will i.d. the fuse or you.If it is good, check for 12v at the heater motor itself.IIRC it is easy to get at in the passenger compartment foot well. You can try tapping the heater motor with a small hammer while it's turned on the highest speed:if it turns on,you have found the problem.Lets try those things & go from there.

Yes...but it will still have the highest speed if the resistor is the problem. The resistor is by-passed for the highest speed.

I've had resistor go out twice on my 2002 Silverado, high speed was first to go, first time resistor went out, then second fastest went, then I replaced it, lasted a couple yrs, then started to lose speeds ,(don't remember which ones)replaced it again working still, very easy to fix yourself, resistor around $25-$30

What I have found is if the resistor is bad the fan motor is bad, the fan motor is pulling to many AMPs, that's what kills the resistor and 50% of the time you will find the wire plug is melted at the resistor and you will need to replace it as well.

Did the heater make any noises before failing, sqeeling or grinding sounds? Guys a bad motor can cause resistors to fail. Try not to run your fan on high speed it's hard on the motor
no noises, just speeds started to stop working, had to replace plug second time I replaced resistor, I have an old resistor that I had replaced, but not sure how to post pic, my camera probably doesn't work hasn't been used in years, can I do it with smart phone somehow?
