Has anyone re flashed the Amlogic chip set?

I have a generic box "MxQ: and I'm having troubles with it locking up on me.



I am thinking, if I re flashed the Amlogic chip with the burning tool, and reloaded the android and Kodi, I could get some sort of stability out of the box...
Any ideas friends
