My preferred browser is Chrome,
I am having troubles with using chrome here is always stuttering and freezing.

When I switch to Explorer, no problems. Any idea how I could correct this on my end?

Yah, dump Chrome and switch to FireFox, unless you like all your browsing habits reported back to Google.

Another idea for privacy would be to switch search engine to duckduckgo.
