eliminate mindless games post

Hello admins,,

what do you think about eliminating mindless games post from showing up in the "new posts" and "whats new"
pages?

when members post in the mindless games thread, they usually make numerous posts, usually more than 5
and as a result, other more informative posts get eliminated to guests who check in periodically in the "new posts"
and "whats new" page.

How does a "new post" get eliminated (regardless of what it is) if it's a new post? They all show up as far as I know and 'more informative' posts do not get eliminated. Would you eliminate Chico's Pic of the day posts for the same reasoning?

when I check in at what's new ,,, I get a page full of "mindless games" posts
which pushes chico's posts out of the page ....

what I'm trying to say is ,,, I'd rather check in and see chico's new posts than

I see your point but when I click on 'New Posts' every post that has been made since I last logged on appear on the page...and sometimes a second page so I don't see that anything is missing.

Post count means nothing if they're all useless posts, again, JMO. It may be fun to post in these threads but NOT just to get your post count up......

With that logic we should also not count posts made in the Thoughts and Prayers, Raffles, Chit Chat, Site/Member Praise and Jokes and Riddles sections as they could be considered useless posts. I consider all those posts by IKS and IPTV 'service providers' useless but there are lots of members here that don't. JMHO but a post is a post no matter where it is or what it says. "One man's garbage is another man's gold". As DU says, what does post count mean anyway? The only thing I can think of is that it shows who the members are that regularly participate in the forum.

PS: Don't forget to participate in this year's Satfix Football Pool (which could also be considered useless...but we sure have a lot of fun :))

new posts tab only brings up all new or updated threads
not every post
so you eliminate one thread all you did was bump every new thread up one
