That question has been asked on the site before. The main problem seems to be:
This version Not Support Dolby AC3 audio decoder
Now, I suspect that if you feed digital audio out to a standard digital TV the AC3 audio would play there, but any recordings would not have audio. But I'm just guessing.
The ebay list does say that it can do PVU and has many good features, but how well it works is something that you should just buy one and tell us.
Oh, and the listing I looked at had:
Memory: 4M
Flash: 512Mb

I think those are 4M flash and 512M RAM.
