what satellite comcast is using to deliver internet service to canadian customers and is it ka band or ku band

As far as I know there are only 5 ISP's that use satellite for internet service in North America, and Comcast is not one of them, they are cable only, here is a guide to them.

not sure about that terryl it is not for me it's for a friends sister he told me it was comcast internet service it could be that another company is selling their service and using comcast hardware

Maybe your info is wrong. Maybe they get Comcast internet service but it is not from a satellite. In a quick search, I see no indication that Comcast is providing satellite IP service anywhere.
If you can figure out where a dish that is doing such a thing is located, then take a pic and we could likely tell you if it is Ku or Ka. Though from what little I know about the state of the art, it is likely to be Ka.

He told me that his sister lives way outside of Montreal city something like one or one and half hour and the only way to get internet service is with a satellite dish and for some reason her internet signal got weaker so shes not getting the full band-wish that she use to get next time i see him i will tel him to grab a compass and check at what sat the dish is pointing at
