Which is the better reciever

Hi newbie here. Just a stupid question. Which is the better receiver I have a pinwheel mini HD and a nano2 converted to ilink. Will they both work for DN on the IKS server or did I just buy 2 really good paper weights. Thanks for any helpful info. Much appreciated.

nano 2 will only get 118
pinwheel hd should work with a module

i got dreamlink t6 hd and dreamlink t4 hd there nice receiver , and i bought all kind of receiver and the best one so far is dreamlink

Ok so what yous are telling me is that even know I have the cnx locked on 110 and 119 using diseqc 4X1 the box is showing all the channels mind you they are just black as I don't have a donation yet and shows its picking up both birds good signal and quality that it won't work regardless. Am I understanding correct.

you must be in a spot beam which is still qpsk ,its a doorstop for 110 and 119

Most DN transponders are now using 8PSK modulation except for spot beams with local channels that are still QPSK (so a couple of TP will show lock).
I suspect the box showing 'all the channels' just means that you have scanned at a time with the older modulation and those are still in flash memory of the box. The newer modulation method will not show Q on the QPSK only boxes and can not pick up the channel info in the stream (so if you have a box that auto updates the channel list from TP info your list will never update).

You are probably correct jvvh5897 when I do a scan it only brings up 30 channels on 119 and about same for 110. And the is no info. So you guys are telling me to forget about trying to use the nano2 and pinwheel HD mini as they wont work at all for that server?

If you have the ls500 module in the Pinwheel it will work for you.
