IPTV that works with MAG250 (clone)

So I made the mistake and ordered some MAG250 boxes that shipped out of China.
Upon inspection they are clones and seem to identify as model MAG245 although version says 0.2.18-r11-250.

When I try to connect to COD or Voodoo i get an error saying Your STB is not supported.

So far I have been able to get it to work with NFPS but I don't like to use NFPS because our ISP blocks them, plus I just don't like the quality of the channels.

I have been trying to find a way to update the software on the box but it seems like that could easily lead to bricking it.

Can anyone recommend another IPTV service that should work on these clone boxes?

100% they are blocking nfps, they even admitted it. Claimed it was due to copyright notice from US companies like comcast.

so why not use a proxy or vpn?

some people who got the box from me don't mind spending the additional $ to get a router and vpn sub, but some just want the mag box with a working sub (lowest cost possible).

just go to settings and do software update it will resolve your issue

i tried that but it didnt help. when i checked it is pointing to a mag245 infomir folder. is there a update URL you suggest I try?
ps. the supplier i got them from said the manufacturer said NOT to update as it may cause issues with box :/
very tempted to send back the few i have left. but cost to ship back to china alone

I am the same problem We r stuck with nfps.
